If you notice a distorted sound quality, the hearing aid is producing no sound, or you see visible ear wax in the wax filter, it may be time to change the wax filter. Additionally, when you notice a build-up of ear wax in the wax filter, you may want to consider changing it.
Everyone has different amounts of wax in their ear canals, and as you become familiar with your hearing aids and how to care for them, you’ll naturally figure out what the right interval is for you.
